Mayumi Yoshino is a high school student who lives on a farm with her parents. She has freckles and wears her hair in pigtails. She is a kind and hardworking girl who loves animals. One day, she meets a boy named Hachiken who has just transferred to her school. Hachiken is a city boy who has never lived on a farm before, and he is struggling to adjust to his new life. Mayumi helps Hachiken learn about farming, and they soon become friends. Together, they learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and the importance of hard work.
